Starting Pinterest
Are you ready for your bed and breakfast to get more attention and more booked rooms? Starting Pinterest is very easy. They say it takes 45 seconds to sign up and it’s free! You can sign up through your Facebook account (smart if you have a fan page for your bed and breakfast) or through an e-mail account.
When you join and start filling in your name and e-mail, it will ask you if you want a Business Pinterest page. If this Pinterest page will represent your B&B, then click yes. They will let you fill in the name of your business (your bed and breakfast) and to come up with your own user name (http://pinterest.com/your-user-name-here).
Then you can:
- Upload your B&B logo or a picture of your bed and breakfast
- Describe you and your bed and breakfast, using keywords
- Type in your bed and breakfast’s web address (URL)
- Read and accept their terms of service (about ethics, liability, copyrights, etc.)
Then you are on your way to starting a Pinterest board for your bed and breakfast! It is much easier than it seems. Not only can pinning mean “winning” more business, it can be fun!
