Send Out of Town Guests to Your Local B&B

your-guests-stay-local-bb

Bed and breakfast owners, you can put on your website the question, “Are you overwhelmed because all of your out-of-town relatives want to stay at your house this year?  Then have your family members stay at our B&B.”

  • Perhaps those entertaining guests cannot comfortably house all of their guests overnight or the task is too overwhelming
  • This easy solution puts less stress on the host family to cook and clean for visiting family
  • This gives the visiting guests a chance to stay somewhere new and visit their relatives at the same time without feeling like a burden
  • The relatives staying at your bed and breakfast can experience the beauty of B&B vacations

There is no reason for those entertaining family to pull their hair out this holiday season.  They can refer their family to stay at your bed and breakfast.  Everyone wins–those entertaining family, those visiting family, and the B&B owners who book more rooms!

California B&B Recipes

The California Association of Bed & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) is the largest and most influential bed & breakfast inn association in the nation.  CABBI has a free online recipe collection of bed and breakfast and boutique inn recipes.

Encompassed in this online recipe box, you will find all the delectable flavors of California cuisine from quality-certified California bed and breakfast inns. Entertain with confidence and praise thanks to the owners and chefs who have shared their award-winning recipes.

Delight your guests, family, and friends with tasty recipes like: California Poachies, Occidental Eggs Benedict, Persimmon Orange Nut Bread, Old Yacht Club Inn Beer Bread, Best Friends Chocolate Cake, Rainbow Beet Salad, Mexican Soufflé and more!

Each recipe was carefully selected to tell the story of the inn from where it is served. Some recipes are house specialties, others are family traditions. Some dishes include locally-grown ingredients from an inn’s region, while other dishes are the reason guests return time and again.

The bed and breakfast inn was born of sharing food with friends. Regardless of where your B&B is located, enjoy these CABBI favorites with your own guests.

If You Knew You Could Not Fail

If you knew you could not fail, what would you try to do?  I think most people, by nature, do not like taking risks. Most people like a safety net.

The people who have succeeded in life made their dreams so much bigger than their fears.  They did not focus on what could go wrong, but on how they could do it better next time. They did not let any of their perceived failures stop them from trying again.

Where does that confidence come from

Sources of Confidence:

1. Real life examples–they observe people who are successful and imitate them

2. Relationships–they have family and friends who believe in them and tell them they can do it

3. Reading–they actively pursue reading positive and motivating material and avoid the negative

4. Remembering–they reflect upon previous successes & remind themselves they can do it again

5. Realizing–they realize the potential they have for greatness and do something great

But what if you lack confidence in yourself?

Steps to Add Confidence:

1. Seek out a mentor–a person you think is successful in life and who is willing to give you advice

2. Spend time with people who are encouraging (rather than downers or critics)

3. Read biographies of successful people (to discover some of their secrets)

4. Put together a dream board/collage of pictures of places you want to go, motivating quotes, etc.

5. Reward your small successes along the way (to motivate you to achieve even more)

Over time, it will become more natural for you to accomplish your goals.  Do not let any setbacks get in the way of your vision for a better future for you and your family.  Keep dreaming, keep going, no matter what!
